What is Wellness?

Wellness, as defined by the National Wellness Association, is:

An active process of becoming aware of and making choices
toward a more successful existence.
It seems to me the key words are process, aware, choices and success.

Process can mean that we never arrive at a point where there is no possibility of improving.

Aware can mean that we are by our nature continuously seeking to understand 'what's happening now'.

Choices can mean that we have researched, created and considered a variety of options and select those that seem to be in our best interest.

Success is determined by each individual.

I also believe that wellness needs to be holistic and include all aspects of our life including: Social, Envrionmental, Occupational, Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual and Emotional.
